As many of you know, the first trolls we made were called KenTrolls in honor of Ken Arensbak, who designed and made the first troll back in 1959. When his children were young he would tell them troll stories from his native Denmark, and he had made it to show them what a troll "really" looked like.
While it was Ken who made the first troll, it was his wife Neta (with the help of their children) who started making these trolls and thus began the family business called 5 Arts Studio.
This Troll is made in honor of her.
Neta Arensbak (1928 - 2010), born Agnete Elizabeth Opager in the historic town of Odense, Denmark (hometown of Hans Christian Anderson).
It is made in the old style (similar to the KenTroll) and features her love of wildflowers as she gathers decorations for making those first trolls. She carries a "Troll Decorations Needed" list and holds some of the first troll decorations used... Queen Anne's Lace and Staghorn Sumac.
She comes complete with a descriptive numbered booklet - tag. aprx. 8" ht.
