Using a Betty Crocker Cookie Mix
If you don't have a mixer (or don't want to get it out) you can use a store bought mix.
However, compared to our recommended recipes,
the baked cookies will be a little "puffier" and less defined.
Because of this, we suggest using the larger sized cookie cutter for these recipes.
If you plan to decorate the baked cookies with icing, then this might not matter as much.
Here are two mixes that we have tried:
Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix
follow package directions for cut-out cookies)
Betty Crocker Peanut Butter Cookie Mix
Follow directions on package except....
Add these ingredients to their mix, instead of what is listed on package:
4 TBS. melted butter
1 egg
3 TBS. flour
As with all the other recipes, keep the rolled out dough under 1/4" in thickness,
and continuously sprinkle or dip the cutter in flour to avoid the dough sticking.
If too much dough sticks to cutter, use a toothpick and/or stiff dry brush to clean.
if you have to wash with soap and water, make sure to dry cutter thoroughly before reusing.
