2010 Custom Troll Contest

We know that everyone has a little creativity so let’s see yours!
Design and create a special troll by adding to one you already have, or make something no one has ever seen… start with one of our customizable trolls that are available in five different sizes. During the contest all of the customizable trolls will be offered at a reduced price (click here for trolls and prices) . If you need a little inspiration, click on the Samples link below or look for our soon to be released Vivi’s Workshop video about customizing trolls.
When you are done with your troll, just take a picture and send it to us via mail or email along with your contact info. You are allowed two (2) entries per person. You can also include a short descriptive bio or verse, similar to what can be found in our Field Guide. Once the entry deadline has passed we will post the pictures and descriptions on our web site and (depending on the amount of entries) on the collector’s club and facebook pages where they will be voted on by all.

Winners will receive one of these prizes:
300 year old - 30” tall customizable troll with open hands (choice of male or female)
Troll Enclave in the Mountains poster (23” x 29”) 2-color, original 1st edition print by Ken Arensbak circa 1990
A pair of one-of-a-kind prototypes from 2010: A Mermaid and a 2010 Christmas Troll
The overall winner will have the first pick from the available prizes, 2nd place - second choice, etc.
All non-winning entries will be eligible for an additional award selected solely by the Five Arts Staff.
Rules:
Entries must be received no later than 11/01/2010 (our new deadline) and are limited to the US and Canada. You are allowed two (2) entries per person and an entry can be a pair or small group of trolls in the same theme (like a musical group or family). While we love to see other troll versions, this contest is only for Arensbak Trolls. And it must be a troll that you have customized, not a custom troll that we have done for you here at the studio. Also, it can’t be a direct copy of a 5 Arts troll but can be a similar theme (such as a different style of Troll Cook). The troll can be any size, but we will only accept entries where the subject matter is appropriate for all ages and non-political in nature (patriotic OK). You can modify a troll you already have, enter a troll that you have done in the past, or start with a customizable troll ordered from us at http://www.trolltown.com/test.html .
After completing your design, take a close-up picture (making sure that it clearly shows the detail- see photo help link below) then use the Enter Contest link below to send a digital photo (jpg or gif) via email. Or you can send a 4x6 color print via regular mail to our studio in Cosby, TN (address below). Be sure to include your name, phone # and other contact info as well as any descriptive text about the troll.
After deadline, pictures of the trolls (with no identifying info) will be displayed online for people to vote on. Votes will be taken for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places and added using a point system (details). There will be two separate voting places: through the Collectors Club; only one vote per member. Voting through our facebook page and web site; one vote per email address. The points will be tallied and the entry receiving the most points will be the winner. 2nd and 3rd place prizes will go to the next top two in points. The Five Arts Staff will vote in the event of any ties. Also the Five Arts Staff will look over all of the non-winning entries and then select a deserving design for an additional award.
